Day camp solution for children affected by Tacoma teachers strike

Federal Way Parks and Recreation has a cure for Tacoma parents suffering day care headaches caused by the Tacoma teachers’ strike. The Federal Way Community Center will be offering camp on the days that Tacoma teachers are on strike.

Day camp is available between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and costs $45 per day. The Community Center’s experienced (and fun) camp staff will provide care all day and activities include swimming, rock climbing, gym games, arts and crafts and more! Bring a sack lunch, swimsuit and towel each day.

To register or for more information call 253.835.6924. Information about the Federal Way Community Center is available online at www.itallhappenshere.org.
