The Federal Way Arts Commission is proud to host "Adventures with the Giant Panda of China,"
at the Knutzen Family Theatre, Sunday, April 10th

The presentation, by local artist Becci Crowe, deals with the plight of Chinese pandas and features behind-the-scenes film footage from Becci's experiences in China working save the species from extinction. The program begins at two PM.

A strong advocate for wildlife conservation and the preservation of world cultures, Becci presents programs on her travel, art, and wildlife experiences from around the world. Her presentation includes video and photos, and will engage and entertain audiences of all ages.

Tickets are $10 and are available from Centerstage by calling 253-661-1444 or online at  Tickets will also be available at the door. Children 17 and under will be admitted free. A reception with Becci and an exhibit of her art will follow the program.

Specializing in wildlife and tribal portrait art, Becci's desire to study her subjects in their natural world has led to adventurous travel across six continents and more than 40 countries around the world including Antarctica, China, Borneo, Zimbabwe, and Namibia among many others.

As an artist, Becci’s explorations provide a wealth of knowledge for her work. Her dramatic art images are created with pen & ink. Favoring a technique called Pointillism, her originals involve creating an image on paper literally dot by dot. The details require thousands of points, laid in one dot at a time, and take weeks to complete. Her subjects include not only wildlife, but tribal cultures including the Maasai and San Bushmen from Africa. Examples of her work can be viewed at
