CITY ANNOUNCES PUBLIC INAUGURATION EVENTS FOR MAYOR-ELECT PRIEST

FEDERAL WAY - Anticipating certification of the November 2, 2010 election by King
County, City Clerk Carol McNeilly will administer the official Oath of Office to Mayorelect Priest on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at
City Hall.

The public is also invited to attend a reception celebrating the inauguration of Federal
Way’s first elected Mayor, Skip Priest on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers.

Mayor-elect Priest stated, “I am honored to be Federal Way’s first elected Mayor. I very much look forward to working with the City Council, staff, and community to achieve our joint vision of an improved quality of life for all our City residents.”

The Mayor’s ceremonial oath of office will be administered by Municipal Court Judge David Larson later in the evening during the City Council’s regular meeting at 7:00 p.m.
