City announces new hours for passport applications

Effective Nov. 8, 2010, the City of Federal Way is reducing the number of hours it will accept passport applications on a drop-in basis. New passport hours are from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday through Friday at the second floor Permit Center Help Desk at City Hall, 33325 8th Ave. S.

The City is an approved Passport Acceptance Facility, allowing staff to assist with applications for a United States passport, provide general information on passport procedures, and serve as a liaison between applicants and Passport Services Agency. The actual decision to issue or deny a passport is made only by a Passport Services Agency, not the City of Federal Way.
