2010 BC Code Amendments

The City of Federal Way's Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers (City Hall, 33325 8th Avenue South, PO Box 9718, Federal Way, WA 98063-9718) to consider amending the Federal Way Revised Code (FWRC) 19.220.050 "Multi-Unit Housing," 19.220.080 "Senior Citizen/Special Needs Housing," and 19.115.090(n) related to increasing heights of multi-unit housing and senior citizen housing, allowing residential and parking uses on ground floor, specifying parking requirements, reducing front yard setbacks, removing density caps, reducing open space requirements, and alleviating pitched-roof requirements within the design guidelines.

The official file is available for public review at the Department of Community Development Services (33325 8th Avenue South). A staff report will be available to the public on October 13,2010. For additional information on this code amendment, please call Associate Planner David Lee at 253-835-2622 during normal business hours. Any person may submit written comments to the Planning Commission prior to the hearing, present them to the Planning Commission during the hearing, and/or may appear at the public hearing to give public testimony.
