Mayor Jack Dovey and the Federal Way City Council will hold a Town Hall meeting from 6:00 to 8 p.m. on July 27 to begin to explore the future of Dumas Bay Centre. Earlier this year the City Council had considered closing the facility as part of its budget deliberations in this economic downturn. The Council decided to keep the facility open but wants to have a series of open dialogues with the community about its future. The Council and City staff will also cover the City’s current budget situation at the Town Hall. The meeting will be held in Banquet Room 3 at Dumas Bay Centre, 3200 S.W. Dash Point Road. The meeting is free and refreshments will be served. For more information, call Linda Farmer, 253-835-2411.
