Weyerhaeuser Bonsai Collection to Close April 2

If you haven't been to Weyerhaeuser's Bonsai Collection, time is running out. Citing the bad economy, Federal Way's Weyerhauser has decided to (at least temporarily) close the collection to the public. A wonderfully tranquil spot, the collection offers a number of the tiny trees, many decades or centuries old. Citing the bad economy, Federal Way's Weyerhauser has decided to (at least temporarily) close the collection to the public.  A wonderfully tranquil spot, the collection offers a number of the tiny trees, many decades or centuries old.  (One is estimated to be - in part - from around the year 1,000.)  be - in part - from around the year 1,000.) 

The exhibit is open to the public free of charge.  See their website for hours and directions.  You can probably walk the exhibit in less than an hour.  There are no steep hills and parking is free.

The only thing I was surprised to not see was a large zen garden.
