Walkability / Tear Down the Viaduct

A little further to the north: This makes the case for tearing down the viaduct (yay) and what could replace it. (That is we should save the four billion and not build the awful tunnel, either.)

Closer to home, just watch this video and imagine people actually traveling the Federal Way core in something other than a car. We don't have the picturesque waterfront or as many days of the beautiful sun, but we still have the chance to develop a pedestrian-friendly city, especially if we move the core north to the Symphony, Transit Center and ex-Target areas.
