Judge David Larson appointed to two statewide committees

Federal Way Municipal Court Judge David Larson has been appointed to the statewide Rules and Education committees of the District and Municipal Court Judges' Association (DMCJA).

The Rules Committee is responsible for suggesting the development and amendment of court rules for adoption by the State Supreme Court. The Education Committee is responsible for providing continuing education to DMCJA judges.

The DMCJA represents the more than 200 judges of Washington’s district and municipal courts that are called “courts of limited jurisdiction.” Created by state statute, the association provides members with continuing judicial education, recommends changes to civil and criminal court rules, and promotes improvement in the administration of justice.

Larson was appointed to the bench in Federal Way only four months ago and has been a resident of Federal Way for more than 40 years.
