The Federal Way Arts Commission proudly presents two new art shows

Bob Kim: Natural Photography

Exhibit on display through April 3

Bob Kim is an accomplished natural photography artist. He was born in Seoul, Korea in 1961, moving to the U.S. in 1975. Mr. Kim, who is a Federal Way resident, studied fine arts and photography at the Maryland Institute of Art and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in 1983.

Mr. Kim began working in offset printing in 1984, using both traditional color etching and digital pre-press processing. He has become proficient in color management, tonal reproduction, and photographic processes. Bob creates images that transcend the limits of camera and film, a timeless and unspoiled vision of nature’s panoramic grandeur. His work has been featured in many national and international publications, private and corporate art collections, and has been shown at numerous exhibitions in the Northwest, Europe, and Asia. His achievements include many international awards and honors and his work has been published in major photography magazines.

Joan Brosnahan: Mixed Media/Watercolors

Joan Brosnahan is a native of British Columbia, currently living in Oak Harbor, Washington. She began her career as a watercolor and mixed media artist over 20 years ago and has developed a unique, unlimited style that is widely known under the signature of “Broz”.

“Broz” has collected numerous awards for her work over the years, and her pieces can be found in the local corporate collections of Wells Fargo Banks and Island Title. Her devoted patrons can be found in the U.S., Canada, England, and Germany. Both shows are open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and are free to the public.
