Photo of mystery school stumps longtime residents
FEDWAYMIRROR.COM (11/06) -- A photo surfaced in fall 2006 -- an old photograph, hand dated 1946, tucked in between some old yearbooks at the library at Federal Way High School. Shelter from the storms
FEDWAYMIRROR.COM (11/06) -- During this past winter’s windstorms and resulting power outages, St. Vincent de Paul Parish continued to congregate -- despite the fact that 60 percent of parishioners lacked power at their homes. Church member Greg Vicars said the storm helped leaders realize that St. Vincent de Paul Parish and other community organizations could do more to assist Federal Way in an emergency. More...

Northshore development not just a Tacoma concern
