City ‘Connections’ video program now showing on TV21 and online

The Fall edition of "Connections," the City's quarterly newsmagazine show, is now airing on TV21 and is posted online. "Connections" has a new name (formerly "City Update"), new theme music and new graphics. It is hosted by Natalie Rees and was shot and produced by Sid Lee, both City of Federal Way employees. The show is 26 minutes long and was taped at Dash Point State Park.

Segments include:
  • Downtown redevelopment
  • Annexation update
  • Hylebos boardwalk construction
  • Spring Valley restoration project
  • Performing Arts Center feasibility study
  • Parks maintenance
  • Knutzen Family Theatre summer program
People featured in the show include: Economic Development Director Patrick Doherty, Surface Water Division Manager Paul Bucich, longtime Federal Way resident and community activist Joann Piquette and Federal Way resident and Parks Commissioner Fred Konkel.

In addition, Knutzen Family Theatre Director Holly Rose shares a heart-warming episode about the theatre’s summer program, focusing on Maggie Baughman and her mother, Louise Baughman, both Federal Way residents.

“Connections” plays at a variety of times on the City’s television station Channel 21. The City reshuffled the lineup on Channel 21 this week to showcase “Connections” in more prime-time slots.
