Feed Me, Federal Way!

Bookmark and Share

One of the things we've missed about moving to the Great Northwest is some of the restaurants we enjoyed in Southern California. I've begged and pleaded with Islands Restaurants to no avail, even going so far as sending them information about Federal Way Crossings. Another one we miss is Wienerschnitzel. (Oh, and Chilis. And Baja Fresh.)

Speaking of the largest hotdog chain, you can drive up to Everett or Arlington or down to Vancouver, but all are a bit of a drive. They didn't have any way on their website to email them or submit a comment card, so we just grumbled in silence for awhile.

But recently, my wife was a little bored and picked up the phone and called them. She explained to the woman who answered that 52 miles was a little too far away to drive, did they have plans to open up any more? The woman took down my wife's information and promised to respond quickly.

Not long after, she received an email from Wienershnitzel. You know what they said? They asked my wife if she knew anyone who wanted to start a franchise in Federal Way.

So... here's the deal. We certainly don't have the money to open a franchise. But if you do, or know someone who does, apparently Federal Way is open for the taking.

What other restaurants/stores/etc. are missing from Federal Way? In 'n Out, perhaps? Use the comments section to add your thoughts!

Ha. Ok, fair enough. I'm interested in a non-chain family-type place that serves breakfast all day. What are some recommendation?

re: breakfast...

yet another thing that is lacking in FedWay. Off the top of my head, the only non-chain place that serves breakfast is It's Greek to Me. But they don't serve it all day. We usually just head down to Auburn and the Sunbreak Cafe for breakfast.

Personally, I welcome chains because it gives you consistency you can count on. I'd just like to see more of them. My friend lives in Doha, Qatar and places they recently mentioned going to include Starbucks, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Chilis, Fudruckers and Bennigans. I'd like to have those kind of choices in Federal Way. It seems like in Federal Way, we get choices, but they're in a very narrow category.
